International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC)

TAC is a proud member of ISAAC, an organization that works to improve the lives of children and adults who use AAC. ISAAC’s vision is that AAC will be recognized, valued and used throughout the world.

ISAAC’s mission is to promote the best possible communication for people with complex communication needs. ISAAC hosts an international conference every 2 years.

Breaking the ICE

The Breaking the ICE Canada conference is an annual event created by and for individuals who use AAC and their families. ICE stands for Independence, Community and Empowerment.

This conference is the first event of its kind in Canada and was designed to bring the community of people who use AAC together to share ideas, learn from each other, and create new friendships.

Communication Disabilities Access Canada (CDAC)

CDAC is a national, non-profit, charitable organization founded in 2001. CDAC promotes human rights, accessibility and inclusion for people who have speech and language disabilities that are not primarily caused by hearing loss.
