Childhood Cancer and Bleeding Disorders
McMaster Children's Hospital is home to an internationally renowned team of physicians specializing in childhood cancer and bleeding disorders. Dr. Ronald Barr is advancing our understanding of childhood cancer, particularly in the measurement of health status and health-related quality of life.
Dr. Barr has also played a key role in the achievements of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, a non-profit organization working to improve the circumstances of all children with cancer. Dr. Anthony Chan is involved with clinical research in pediatric thrombosis and pediatric stroke and provides a free consultation service for other physicians caring for children with thrombosis.
