CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research 

CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research is a research and educational centre located at McMaster University with strong links to the hospital's Department of Paediatrics.  CanChild research is focused on improving the lives of children and youth with disabilities and their families.

Founded in 1989, CanChild is a world leader in the field of childhood disability research and a premier source for childhood disability information. The CanChild team does not treat children. Rather, their cutting-edge research and active strategies for making findings easily accessible to a wide range of audiences empower families to support their children and youth with disabilities and enable service providers from 175 countries around the world improve their use of evidence-based information and measures.

CanChild's inter-professional team includes researchers from pediatrics, rehabilitation medicine (physiatry), occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language pathology, kinesiology, social psychology, epidemiology and biostatistics.
